Sierra Leone APRM Leadership Shines at National Secretariat Coordinating Committee Meeting

The APRM National Secretariat Coordinating Committee held its 9th Ordinary Session yesterday, with Mr. Mohamed Sheriff, Executive Secretary of the APRM National Secretariat in Sierra Leone, presiding as Chair. This significant event underscored the APRM’s dedication to governance, transparency, and reform across Africa. The meeting’s agenda included the adoption of the draft outcome report and the unveiling of the Draft Third APRM Strategic Plan 2025-2028, highlighting the relevance of the APRM processes in Sierra Leone and their alignment with continental goals.

Mr. Sheriff emphasized the importance of unity, resilience, and collective effort in achieving Africa’s governance renaissance. He called for bold engagement, clear deliberation, and wise decision-making to inspire hope, build trust, and create a lasting legacy. The session reaffirmed the APRM’s role as a premier institution within the African Union, committed to the vision of Agenda 2063 and Africa’s prosperous future.

The meeting also served as a platform to address both challenges and opportunities, with discussions on the calendar of review missions and the schedule of statutory meetings. Mr. Sheriff encouraged participants to engage with integrity and intellectual rigor, ensuring that the outcomes of the session would be historic and impactful for the citizens they serve.
